What We Do
Our organization champions a variety of programs to uplift and connect our people. MNI Atlanta’s key initiatives include:
Educational Scholarships & Youth Mentorship
We provide scholarships and academic awards to deserving students, easing the financial burden of higher education. Beyond funding, our members also mentor youth – guiding the next generation of Ibibio leaders. Your support has helped aspiring doctors, engineers, and other talents achieve their educational dreams.
Cultural Preservation & Events
Proud of our Ibibio roots, we host cultural days, language workshops, and performances to keep our traditions alive. In Atlanta, our annual Ibibio Cultural Night brings together music, dance, and cuisine – sharing our heritage with the wider community. We believe celebrating our identity instills pride in our youth and educates our friends and neighbors about our rich culture.
Community Healthcare & Welfare
From organizing medical outreach in under-served communities to supporting health centers in Nigeria, we prioritize wellness. We’ve helped supply clinics with essential medicines and hosted health fairs for preventive care. Good health is a foundation for a strong community, and we work to ensure families have access to the care they need.
Infrastructure & Community Development
We rally resources to support development projects both locally and in Nigeria’s Akwa Ibom region. This has included donating to build classrooms, providing books and technology to schools, and improving basic infrastructure like water supply in villages. Every project is aimed at empowering communities with the tools for a better life.
Together, these initiatives reflect a holistic approach – uplifting mind, body, and spirit of the community. We continuously evaluate pressing needs and launch projects where we can make the greatest impact. When you get involved with MNI Atlanta, you become part of all of these efforts – driving positive change across continents.

Become a Member of MNI Atlanta and connect with a vibrant network of individuals who share a passion for community and culture. Membership is open to anyone with ties to or interest in the Ibibio community – whether you are an Ibibio descendant, a student far from home, or simply a supporter of our cause. As a member, you will:
- Be part of an extended family that celebrates Ibibio traditions and supports each other.
- Get exclusive updates, newsletters, and invites to member-only gatherings, seminars, and networking events.
- Have the opportunity to develop leadership skills by serving on committees or leading initiatives.
- Directly contribute to decision-making on community projects and how we allocate funds and resources.
Joining is simple: just fill out our Membership Application Form with your details. We’ll guide you through a short orientation and welcome you warmly. Annual membership dues help fund our programs, but more importantly, your participation and voice are what strengthen MNI Atlanta. Students and new graduates – we especially encourage you to join; this is a great way to find mentorship and a sense of belonging away from home.

Support Our Mission: Donate or Partner
We are able to do what we do because of generous supporters and partners who believe in our vision. As a registered nonprofit, MNI Atlanta ensures that every donation is used transparently and effectively to change lives. Your contribution can sponsor a child’s education, provide medical supplies to a rural clinic, or fund a cultural workshop that reconnects our youth with their heritage. No amount is too small – even a $20 donation can buy books for a student or feed a family during a community outreach.
We also welcome corporate partnerships and sponsorships for our events and programs. If your company or organization is interested in supporting educational causes or cultural diversity initiatives, we’d love to collaborate for a greater impact.
